I had the last two days off which just happened to coincide with some perfect sunny weather for November.
Spent yesterday puttering around the homestead doing some winterization and, getting ready to do the cutting on my new barrel stove kit for out in the garage and, when the MRS got home, I burned through a big bottle of Lambrusco with her until bedtime.
Hauled my sorry ass out of bed today at sunrise, turned out the animals and went to work cutting all the brush back from the grazing pastures which will be getting some supplemental seeding in the spring when it's fenced off the rest of the way.
I worked nonstop right up until sunset when we could no longer see well enough to make straight cuts.
The yard and the pastures look like a million bucks and, I can't wait until April to turn out my spring lambs onto some virgin grass to graze on.
I don't regret moving to the stix for one second.
Sorry this post isn't filled with political drama or, shit to argue about but, it's just been one of those days where I don't feel like the rest of the world's dumb drama matters or, has even effected me.
Everyday should flow so well....for all of us!

It is good to see that you had a good few days Sepp. May you have many more.
Johnny O,
I wish the same for everyone without exception.
I don't know anyone that doesent take a bit of personal pride when they look back at doing something worthwhile and enjoying the moment.
Good days are hard to come by and, should be noticed when they do occur!
My next good day is just a phone call away...I have about 700 lbs of pork (live weight) being cut into hams, sliced into chops and bacon and sitting in my butcher's smoker.
A full report on how homegrown, pastured, no crap injected into them, 1 1/2 inch thich cut chops and smoked hams will be comming before the bones dry on my plate hopefully before Thursday!
Before raising my own pork, the closest thing I've ever had was wild boar which was the best ever.
I've had my own homegrown eggs.
And, I've had free ranged chicken from my own flock...and I'll NEVER eat a store-bought bird again.
Next week is pork and midsummer will be my own lambs!
If I EVER live in the city again, it will be because I'm in jail and was dragged there tasered or, shot.
Why my grandparents ever gave up farmlife to live in town will be a mystery to me.
I'm sure it had something to do with Democrats talking them into it.
